Editorial Policy

Editorial Independence
Boo-Bubble's newsroom operates independently of advertisers, sponsors, affiliate partners, and any commercial team. No advertiser sees article content before publication, and no commercial relationship — past, present, or potential — influences which stories we cover, what conclusions we draw, or which products we recommend. Editors have final say over every word published on the Site.
Sourcing Standards
We prioritise primary sources over secondary reporting. That means peer-reviewed studies indexed in PubMed and similar databases, clinical practice guidelines from recognised medical bodies (WHO, NIH, CDC, NHS, ICMR, NICE, USPSTF), and official statements from professional associations (American Heart Association, Endocrine Society, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and others). When we cite secondary sources — news reports, expert blogs, books — we do so in addition to, not instead of, primary evidence. Anecdotes are clearly labelled as such.
Medical & Expert Review
All health claims, clinical protocols, and dosage references are reviewed by a qualified healthcare professional — a registered dietitian, certified personal trainer, licensed therapist, or medical doctor — appropriate to the topic before publication. Reviewers are named on the article where applicable. Reviews are documentation-based: we share the draft and the source list with the reviewer for sign-off.
Fact-Checking Process
Every statistic, claim, quotation, and recommendation is verified against its source by an editor other than the writer. Authors maintain a bibliography for each article — typically 5 to 20 sources — and editors spot-check citations to confirm the claim is supported by the cited material. Numbers are double-checked for unit conversions, date relevance, and population applicability.
Corrections Policy
When we get something wrong, we fix it openly. Minor corrections (typos, broken links, formatting errors) are made silently. Substantive corrections — anything affecting a claim, statistic, recommendation, or characterisation — are noted in an editor's note at the foot of the article, with the date and a brief description of what changed. To request a correction, email boobubbleapp@gmail.com with 'Correction' in the subject line; we respond within 48 hours.
Updates to Older Articles
Health and nutrition science evolves. We periodically revisit older articles — especially those covering evolving topics like dietary guidelines, supplements, and emerging conditions — and update them with new evidence. Updated articles carry a 'Last updated' date, and material changes are flagged at the top of the piece.
Use of AI Tools
We use AI tools sparingly and only for specific editorial tasks: research assistance, copy editing, headline brainstorming, and image generation for illustrative purposes. No article is written end-to-end by AI. Every published word is reviewed and approved by a human editor, and every factual claim is verified against a primary source by a human.
Conflicts of Interest
Writers and editors disclose any relevant commercial, personal, or professional relationship to the editor-in-chief before being assigned a story. Writers may not cover companies in which they have a financial interest. Where a disclosure is relevant to readers, it is published at the foot of the article.
Affiliate Disclosure
Some product links on the Site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase through them at no extra cost to you. We only recommend products our editors would use themselves, recommendations are made on editorial merit alone, and affiliate commissions never influence which products appear or how they are reviewed. Affiliate links are disclosed at the top or bottom of any article containing them.
Sponsored Content
We do not currently publish sponsored articles, advertorials, or 'native advertising' within the editorial section of the Site. If this ever changes, sponsored content will be clearly and prominently labelled as such and will be produced outside the news team.
Reader Feedback
Reader corrections, story tips, and concerns are taken seriously and routed to the relevant editor. Email boobubbleapp@gmail.com to reach the team.
